About Me
I'm Varun Abishek, a B.Tech undergraduate in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at the Hindustan Institute of Technology, and I'm currently experimenting with the intersection of smart systems and innovation. My tech journey is underpinned by a simple philosophy: learning is best achieved through a synthesis of theory and practice.
I've developed a diverse skill set that ranges from creation to communication. I play my music on a Python instrument, and have conducted powerful backend services using FastAPI, while Git ensures my code is well-organised and collaborative. But I also enjoy explaining technology - writing technical articles and speaking at events - to distill the esoteric into the comprehensible. LangChain has been especially enlightening, allowing me to seamlessly integrate language models into meaningful systems.
At present, I'm expanding my horizons in two ways. I am building on my understanding of the fundamentals of Machine Learning, while delving into the cutting-edge of Generative AI - mastering Large Language Models (LLMs), designing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and experimenting with the agentic capabilities of LangGraph. Simultaneously, I'm enhancing this skill set with Node.js, HTML and CSS, understanding transformative AI needs transformative UIs. This path of deepening expertise and breadth of knowledge is how I'm gearing up for a future where AI systems are integrated into all solutions.
At Hindustan Institute of Technology, I'm not just earning a degree, but designing a professional skill set to make a difference in the world of AI. I have a clear mission: to create systems that not only work, but think and learn.
